Developing the capability of the talent pipeline is a strong focus for all our successful clients. Over the last year we have seen an increase in requests for in person, face to face, development sessions and workshops. Face to face workshops and offsites have always been the preferred way of delivering for our consultants and they have stepped up to deliver some truly engaging and motivational sessions that our clients have been enthusiastic about.
In Person Development Workshops and offsites.
Our overall approach is to follow the well known 70:20:10 model of skill acquisition:

We adapt this to the needs and the practicalities for those taking part in the programme so this makes life as easy as possible for them; balanced with a curiosity and hunger to come on a learning journey.
This approach includes a blend of in person face to face formal learning with some pre work that is done virtually with some one to one support.
Pre Work – Growing Self awareness
The prework is aimed at helping to raise the delegates self awareness about their natural leadership strengths based on their personality and motivation along with what might be their stretch areas for development. We can offer a broad range of psychometrics that we can advise out clients on which suite of tests would be a great fit to their culture and their leadership development requirements. During the prework sessions we gather really useful input as to the development needs of those taking part in the programme and this feeds into the content of the face to face in person sessions.
Post Development - Nudging
We also recommend some post development support to help remind them of what they have learnt and to keep the delegates developing and growing, We deliver these “nudge” sessions to build on the Social Learning element, remind them of the Formal Learning they have acquired and to think about what additional Experiential Learning they could take on in the work place.
In person Face to Face sessions
The success of our workshops is that they are really bespoke for each client and cohort. The content is determined by the development needs of the group that we have collected as part of the prework. The Formal Learning face to face sessions include the following elements:
They are a blend of inspirational, engaging and practical,

Our company is founded on the importance of giving and receiving feedback, Getfeedback (GFB), and so we asked our delegates this year what they liked about face to face in person training. So the final word goes to our delegates. The overall themes from their feedback was:
