Kingfisher and GFB: working in partnership

Kingfisher have been working with GFB since 2015, when we were asked to develop a bespoke 360-degree feedback survey to accompany B&Q’s high potential talent programme.

Kingfisher have been working with GFB since 2015, when we were asked to develop a bespoke 360-degree feedback survey to accompany B&Q’s high potential talent programme. Since then, GFB have continued to work on a broad range of projects across the Kingfisher brand including a variety of bespoke leadership, managerial, individual contributor and sector specific 360-degree feedback tools for Kingfisher; together with a wide range of behavioural and psychometric assessments tests for B&Q and Screwfix, including Behavioural Event Interviews, Hogan Assessments, ability assessments and role match profiling using the OPQ Personality Profile.


Dorrie Dowling, Global Head of Executive and Leadership Development at Kingfisher Plc explains the benefits of GFB’s approach, “We did not want an off the shelf 360 – we wanted the flexibility to create our own custom design and questions. GFB were able to develop a variety of 360s for us using our own framework and language and all adapted to our brand.” Dorrie Dowling goes on to say, “GFB are able to turn a bespoke 360 survey around very quickly – from developing the questions, to getting the tool online and launched via their secure technology platform.”


Kingfisher take advantage of GFB’s fully managed service, where the GFB team manage the administration of the entire project for you from sending the initial links to the 360-degree feedback nomination form, issuing completion reminders, right through to generating reports at the end of the process. Dorrie Dowling confirms, “The GFB fully managed 360 administration service is excellent. The team provide regular updates and are always quick to respond to any queries. The whole process runs very smoothly.


Dorrie Dowling concludes, “We have received positive feedback from delegates who have gone through the process, and this, together with the reports they receive, has encouraged 360 take up across the wider organisation. We look forward to expanding our 360 use moving forwards and tracking both the business and individual benefits this will have.”
