Ability Asessments

Watson Glaser Critical Thinking Appraisal

The Watson-Glaser Critical Thinking Appraisal assesses the individual's capability for critical thinking - a discrete skill distinct from, but not independent of, overall intelligence. It is available online and contains 40 items drawn from an item banked and candidates have a maximum of 30 minutes to complete the test. The assessment can be used for selection and development and is suitable for Senior Leader, Manager and Graduate roles.

Verify Ability Assessments

The SHL Verify suite of ability tests assess a range of skills and are used to measure these early in the recruitment process. The various ability assessments can be completed together or used separately.

Raven's APM & SPM Assessment

The non verbal nature of the test means that it is a good indicator of general intelligence whilst minimising the impact of language or culture.

Numerical Data Interpretation Test (NDIT)

The Numerical Data Interpretation Test (NDIT™), previously named Athena, goes beyond a candidate's typical math skills to identify the ability to manipulate and interpret numerical information from reports, charts, tables, or dashboards.

Learning Styles Questionnaire

Developed by Peter Honey and Alan Mumford and based upon David Kolb's Learning Cycle the Learning Styles Questionnaire (LSQ) measures an employees' preferred style of learning.

Iris Situational Judgement Test

IRIS Situational Judgement Tests (SJTs) measure the way an individual is likely to react to certain situations. Candidates are asked to rate the appropriateness of possible responses in relevant work based scenarios.

Hogan Business Reasoning Inventory

The Hogan Business Reasoning Inventory (HBRI) describes reasoning style - the ability to evaluate sets of data, make decisions, solve problems, and avoid repeating past mistakes. By assessing reasoning style, you can identify candidates' problem-solving style, understand their capacity, and identify areas for development.

Differential Aptitudes Test (DAT)

Core Abilities Assessment

The Core Abilities Assessment provides a short assessment of general ability. Providing insight on an individual's verbal, numerical & abstract reasoning ability. The assessment is suitable for quickly sifting entry level candidates.
